Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, backed by private equity firms Leonard Green and Altas Partners, has acquired Fire Protection Specialists. The deal expands Pye-Barker's reach into the Pacific Northwest market, adding integrated fire protection services to the company's existing fire alarm and security offerings across five western states.

Fire Protection Specialists, established in 1999, serves commercial and industrial customers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California with fire suppression and alarm system installations. Pye-Barker, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, gains a foothold in these markets through the acquisition, strengthening its position as a comprehensive fire protection provider.

The acquisition reflects the growing consolidation trend in the fire protection industry, where PE-backed firms are expanding their geographic footprints and service capabilities. Pye-Barker now offers a more complete suite of solutions across its expanded territory, while Fire Protection Specialists benefits from the resources and broader network of its new parent company.
