PrimeSource Brands, a specialty branded building products provider backed by Clearlake Capital Group, has acquired Starborn Industries, an Edison, New Jersey-based manufacturer of fastening solutions and installation systems for decking and exterior applications. This deal marks PrimeSource’s eleventh acquisition since partnering with Clearlake in December 2020. Starborn, founded in 1961, brings a long legacy of quality in outdoor living products.

No financial terms were disclosed. In a statement, co‑founder and managing partner José E. Feliciano and partner and managing director Colin Leonard highlighted the milestone, noting that the transaction further builds PrimeSource into a scale, branded specialty building products platform. "Over the past two years, we have deployed significant capital through PrimeSource into outdoor living, one of our highest‑conviction categories within residential building products," the executives said.

The acquisition underscores the firm’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in high‑margin, niche product lines while leveraging Clearlake’s capital and operational expertise.
