Private equity firm Olympus Partners agreed to purchase a majority stake in Network Connex, a provider specializing in fiber installation and mission-critical digital infrastructure services. Network Connex, based in Downers Grove, Illinois, supports the complex buildout necessary for artificial intelligence infrastructure and the next generation of data centers across the industry.

Orix Capital Partners served as the seller in this transaction, marking a change in control for the infrastructure specialist. The acquisition positions Olympus to capitalize on the accelerating demand for robust, high-speed connectivity required by hyperscalers and large enterprise cloud operators today.

Network Connex President and CEO, Christopher Larocca, remains in his leadership role following the transaction. Deals involving fiber installation assets are attracting attention as foundational network capacity becomes a bottleneck for major tech expansion plans.

Acquiring Network Connex provides Olympus direct exposure to the sustained capital expenditure cycles driving data center and AI facility deployment. This move reflects growing PE interest in tangible assets underpinning the digital economy, cementing Network Connex’s role in that expansion.
