Mindoula, backed by Equality Asset Management, has acquired Janus Healthcare Partners and Valera Health. Mindoula, headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, specializes in engaging hard-to-reach individuals and families.

Janus Healthcare Partners, based in Duxbury, Massachusetts, is a psychiatric collaborative care company, while Valera Health, a virtual mental health platform, is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. Valera Health was founded in 2015, and Janus was founded in 2020. Ralph C. Derrickson leads Valera Health as CEO, and Nicholas Tcherepnin is the co-founder and CEO of Janus.

Steve Sidel, founder and CEO of Mindoula, stated that the acquisitions aim to meet the growing demand from health plans, systems, and providers for comprehensive behavioral health solutions for complex populations. The combined entity will offer a single provider capable of powering whole-person care initiatives across all service lines for existing and new partners.
