Private equity firm Gemspring Capital has sold Security 101, a provider of integrated security solutions, to Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. Gemspring initially invested in the company in 2021, marking a relatively short holding period for the middle-market firm.

Security 101 specializes in designing, installing, and servicing security systems including access control, video surveillance, and alarm monitoring. The company operates across multiple locations in the United States, serving commercial and industrial clients. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The sale represents Morgan Stanley's latest move in the fragmented security services sector, where consolidation has been accelerating as larger players seek to expand their geographic footprint and service offerings. For Gemspring, the exit comes just three years after the initial investment, suggesting the firm successfully grew the business during its ownership period.
