Caylent, an AWS partner, announced it has bought Pronetx, a customer‑experience firm in Columbia, Maryland. The deal adds Fortune 25 and federal clients to Caylent’s roster, expanding reach beyond pure infrastructure work. Valerie Henderson, Caylent’s CEO, said the acquisition fits the strategy to deepen services for large enterprises. The move positions Caylent to compete more directly with larger cloud consultancies that bundle services.

Pronetx, founded in 2014, builds digital‑experience platforms for public‑sector agencies and corporate accounts. Merging those capabilities into Caylent’s AWS practice lets the combined firm offer end‑to‑end cloud migration, modernization and CX services under one roof. Gryphon Investors, Caylent’s private‑equity sponsor, did not reveal the purchase price, but the deal reflects confidence in rising demand for cloud‑and‑experience solutions. The integration is expected to accelerate delivery timelines for joint projects.

The acquisition broadens Caylent’s addressable market, giving it a foothold in high‑margin CX projects that often accompany large cloud contracts. Existing clients gain a single vendor for both infrastructure and user‑experience modernization, potentially boosting contract sizes and renewal rates. Early indications suggest cross‑sell opportunities could lift margins in the next fiscal year. Investors will now watch Caylent’s revenue mix for signs of profitable cross‑selling.
