SFG20’s database includes more than 1,500 maintenance schedules covering over 14,000 legislation‑aligned tasks. The platform helps facilities managers, building owners, contractors and consultants keep their assets safe, compliant and operating efficiently. With more than 1,000 industry participants using the standard to plan, deliver and audit maintenance, the company has grown revenues at 30% annually amid strong demand in the UK and abroad.

Bowmark Capital has agreed to become a significant shareholder in SFG20, joining the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) in the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval. The move follows Bowmark’s earlier investments in BCIS, a construction cost data provider, and Eque2, an ERP software provider for the construction industry. BESA was advised by Investec, A&O Shearman, PwC and Crosslake, while Bowmark was advised by KPMG, Stephenson Harwood, BCG and Deloitte. SFG20 was advised by Osborne Clarke.

SFG20 has invested heavily in digitising its offering, launching the cloud‑based Facilities‑i Q platform in 2024 and an AI‑powered module called SFG20 Mobiliser in 2025. Tom Keen, partner at Bowmark, said the investment will allow the standard to further enhance its technology platform and support new products and markets. The partnership aims to strengthen SFG20’s position as the UK’s leading maintenance specification. Financial terms were not disclosed.
