Assisi Pet Care, a UK‑based producer of premium natural pet food and treats backed by Wind Point Partners, has acquired Forthglade from European private equity firm IK Partners.

Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Devon, Forthglade has grown its wet and dry pet food and treats business through a fast‑!growing omnichannel distribution model, doubling revenues under IK Partners’ ownership since 2020. The company expanded production capacity and its digital commerce footprint during that period.

Assisi’s portfolio now spans seven pet food and treats brands across the UK and Europe, positioning the combined entity to capitalize on growing demand for natural and premium pet products. The acquisition is expected to enhance scale, distribution reach, and innovation capabilities across the pet food market.

This deal underscores the continued interest of private equity in the pet care sector, as firms look to support brands that combine quality with strong growth prospects.
