Retail giant Argos has signed a deal to acquire a majority stake in manufacturer Relevi. The transaction will see Argos take control from firm ProA Capital, which will retain a minority position. Relevi, based in Mantua, supplies gel air fresheners, toilet care, scented candles and pet‑care items to retailers. The move follows Argos’ push to deepen its brand offerings across its UK and Irish stores.

Relevi reported revenues close to €90 million for the 2025 fiscal year, underscoring its strong market presence in the fast‑moving consumer goods segment. Analysts expect the combined supply chain to lower unit costs and boost Argos’ pricing power in the crowded homecare aisle. The portfolio of cost‑effective, private‑label products complements Argos’ existing home‑goods range.

By securing control of Relevi, Argos aims to diversify its product mix and improve margins through in‑house manufacturing. ProA Capital’s decision to stay on board as a minority shareholder suggests confidence in the growth plan. The deal positions Argos to leverage economies of scale across Europe, potentially reshaping private‑label competition in the home‑care market. Investors view the deal as a strategic margin enhancer.
