Aurelius has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Nokia's Enterprise Campus Edge (ECE) business, a leading provider of industrial AI and edge computing solutions. ECE serves nearly 900 customers worldwide across manufacturing, mining, logistics, airports, ports and power generation, with over €170 million in annual sales and approximately 1,000 employees across Finland, Hungary, India and the US. The business offers industrial devices, on-premises operational technology edge computing products and software applications for industrial AI use cases, helping organizations improve operational performance, increase automation and enhance worker safety.
Fabian Steger, managing director for Aurelius Funds IV and V, stated: "We see significant opportunities for ECE to build on its leading position in private 5G and industrial edge as a standalone business, expand its portfolio into emerging areas such as AI-powered industrial automation, and help customers accelerate the digitalization and automation of their operations."
Separately, Germany-based cleanroom garments manufacturer Dastex, backed by Riverside Company, has made its seventh acquisition with Abovo, a Switzerland-based distributor serving life sciences, semiconductors and aerospace industries.
