Archimed, together with La Caisse, has taken control of Stago, a French maker of hemostasis equipment and reagents, through its MED Platform II fund. The deal pulls Stago, a company that sold products in 115 countries, into a growing diagnostics portfolio.

Stago posted €550 million in revenue for 2025, underscoring its global footprint. Archimed’s diagnostics arm has already completed eight acquisitions, and this purchase marks Stago’s place as the fund’s tenth investment.

The transaction, executed via a mix of equity and unitranche debt, transfers ownership from the founding Viret family to investors focused on expanding diagnostic capabilities. By adding Stago’s specialized products, Archimed strengthens its position in the high‑margin hemostasis market.

For investors, the deal signals confidence in the durability of diagnostic equipment sales and offers a platform for further consolidation in the sector.
