The Riverside Company has invested in Medical Group, a French contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) founded in 1989 and headquartered in Saint-Priest. The deal includes a strategic partnership with fellow French CDMO Selenium Medical, founded in 2009 and based in La Rochelle. Together, they offer a 'one-stop-shop' proposition providing outsourced manufacturing services including surface treatment, sterile assembly, cleanroom plastic injection molding, and hydroxyapatite manufacturing for medical device manufacturers. Riverside aims to boost growth via international expansion, R&D investment, and a buy-and-build program. Damien Gaudin, partner and head of healthcare at Riverside Europe, stated: 'This partnership reflects our conviction in the long-term growth potential of the industry.'

Mutares has agreed to acquire Steinmüller Engineering, a German developer of thermal-process engineering solutions for the energy and industrial sectors, from IHI Corporation. Steinmüller, headquartered in Gummersbach, employs around 170 people and generated close to €100 million in the last financial year. The company has delivered more than 1,300 thermal-process engineering projects for over 500 customers in 80 countries, providing engineering, procurement, and turnkey systems for combustion, incineration, air pollution control, and heat transfer applications.
