HTC's Vive Eagle smart glasses finally come to the US, Europe and Australia. Circular's Series 3 smart ring adds NFC payments and a haptic motor alongside its one-line ECG. Qualcomm Ventures invested $70 million in Ultrahuman for health-focused human computing. Mivi revealed the One 5G launch date and design as the Indian brand enters the smartphone market this month. Netflix ordered a live-action D&D Ravenloft series with Alfonso Cuarón executive producing the dark fantasy vampire story. Epic Games launched cross-platform voice chat for Fortnite and its services. Xbox is introducing time limits for cloud gaming — anything but your console or PC can be an Xbox for 5-15 hours a month. Sony's GTA 6-themed DualSense controllers open pre-orders September 10 at $85. The PlayStation State of Play double header showed expansions for Crimson Desert and Ghost of Yōtei. Until Dawn 2 launches January 28 on PS5, set on a tropical island starring Dacre Montgomery. Final Fantasy VII Revelation arrives April 8, 2027 as the third in the remake trilogy. Lenovo's Project Swan concept features a 14-inch screen that stretches to 17 inches in seconds, feeling ready for the real world. Alienware's new 25-inch 560Hz gaming monitor is its fastest ever with QD-OLED technology.

Tablets, Displays & Other

TCL unveiled the 11" Tab A1 NxtPaper tablet and a kids watch with a robotic cradle at IFA. The TCL P80 Ultra debuts the first OLED-based Nxt Paper display, with the P80 Pro featuring it too. Apple's iOS 27 feature will let users share one phone number across two iPhones. The Apple Vision Pro was used for a successful hip surgery — Stryker's Sport Suite Vision software received FDA De Novo authorization in July. Apple is also being sued for $2.7 billion over App Tracking Transparency rules, with claims the policy was stricter on third-party developers than Apple itself. TikTok added voice comments and simplified polls, plus multi-photo reactions. Google rolled out AI voice tools for Gmail, Docs and Keep for paying customers. Utah won't enforce its VPN age-verification law until the legal challenge resolves. Samsung expanded the One UI 9 beta to 10 more Galaxy devices.
