Ugreen is entering the smart home market with new local AI hubs, named Home Agent and Master Agent, designed to offer privacy-focused features without cloud data transmission. The lineup includes three home hubs, security cameras, a smart picture frame, and a smart speaker, unveiled at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Home Agent comes in two models: the baseline HA100 with an RK3588 platform and 16GB LPDDR5, offering 26 TOPS, priced at $1,799 (early bird $899), and the HA100 Pro with a CIX-CP8180(P1) SoC, 32GB RAM, and 205 TOPS, retailing at $5,999 (early bird $2,999). The premium Master Agent MA100 runs on Nvidia's Jetson Thor platform with 128GB unified memory and 2,070 TOPS, costing $20,000 (early bird 50% off).

These hubs support ONVIF and Matter devices out of the box, with Zigbee and Thread planned, but lack Home Assistant support. They include bays for SATA hard drives for NAS storage and various ports like HDMI and Ethernet. Ugreen's NAS community manager Thomas Brown and product planning manager Markus Xie highlighted potential savings on cloud costs, though upfront prices remain steep.

A working Home Agent was demonstrated controlling smart curtains and lights, but advanced features like voice-based rules were not shown. The high cost of even the base model indicates that privacy in the AI era may come at a premium.
