With the first beta of watchOS 27.3, Apple introduces new Audio Intelligence features powered by the S11 chip for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. Live Rewind allows users to replay the last 15 seconds of a conversation by pressing the Digital Crown twice. Siri Recap runs in the background, generating daily summaries with titles and key points to help users stay present.
Both features are opt-in and privacy-focused; Audio Intelligence does not store recordings or identify speakers. Audio data processes on-device via the Secure Exclave, with Siri Recap summaries created through Private Cloud Compute. Features require an iPhone 16 or later with Apple Intelligence and are English-only initially.
Parental approval is needed for Child Accounts under 18. watchOS 27.3 launches in December alongside iOS 27.3.
