Apple released the first developer beta of watchOS 27.3, introducing two new Audio Intelligence features for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. Siri Recap creates high-level summaries of conversations for later review in the Siri app, auto-deleting after 7 days unless saved. Live Rewind allows users to recall the previous 15 seconds of a conversation by double-pressing the Digital Crown, displaying a text snippet to catch missed dialogue.
Both features emphasize privacy, with Live Rewind playing an audible chime and summaries end-to-end encrypted. Apple uses the S11 chip's Secure Enclave to process audio in complete isolation, deleting raw audio immediately. The features do not store recordings or identify speakers.
Available now for developers, the beta follows Apple's September event announcement that the features would arrive later this year.
