Tapbots has launched Pastebot 3, an updated version of its clipboard management software for Mac. Building on previous iterations, Pastebot 3 automatically records copied content, allowing for easy retrieval and pasting. It introduces Custom Pastebins for manual organization and rule-based Smart Pastebins that automatically categorize clippings, such as links or images from Safari.

Smart Pastebins offer advanced filtering options based on clipping size, type, creation date, and more. Users can create powerful custom filters to modify pasted text, including format conversions, punctuation removal, case changes, emoji filtering, URL extraction, and sorting. These filters can be combined and assigned keyboard shortcuts for efficiency. A quick paste menu and a Stack function for sequential pasting are also included.

Pastebot 3 allows users to blacklist applications to prevent sensitive data like passwords from being saved. Content and filters sync across Macs via iCloud, with options to save up to 1,500 clippings. The software integrates with Apple's Universal Clipboard, syncing copied items between Mac and iPhone. Pastebot 3 requires macOS Tahoe or later and is available for purchase directly from Tapbots for $39, including a year of updates. A subscription option is available on the Mac App Store. A 14-day trial is offered for new users.
