Apple's iOS 27 Introduces One‑Tap Paste Shortcut

Apple rolled out a new copy‑and‑paste shortcut built into the iOS 27 keyboard. When a user copies a link in Safari and switches to Notes, a "paste from Safari" button appears above the keyboard, inserting the link with a single tap. The same mechanism works for images, text and other content across supported apps.

Because the shortcut lives in the system keyboard, it functions with any app pair that supports the operation, extending the one‑time verification code feature first seen in iOS 12. This streamlines workflow for power users who move data between browsers, messaging and note‑taking apps without opening the edit menu each time.

Developer beta builds are already circulating, with a public beta slated for July and a full rollout to iPhone 11 and newer devices in September. The addition may seem modest, but it removes a frequent friction point in everyday iPhone use, giving iOS a subtle yet noticeable productivity boost.
