Opera has rolled out a significant update to its browser, introducing direct access to YouTube and Twitch from the sidebar. Users can now pin these panels for side-by-side viewing or use the Video Popout feature to create floating overlays that move while browsing. The update focuses on enhancing video streaming and conferencing experiences.

In a first for any browser, Opera now includes an integrated Volume Booster allowing users to increase tab volume by up to 500 percent. This per-tab control enables users to simultaneously keep background music at low levels while amplifying quiet videos. The native feature eliminates the need for third-party volume extensions that often cause glitches.

The update also improves remote working with full PiP support for video conferencing including Zoom. Users gain per-site control over Auto-PiP permissions, and the Video Popout window now matches the Opera One theme. The free update is available now for download from Opera's website.
