LEGO today said the iMac G3 project submitted by fan terauma on its "Ideas" site has been moved to Parking Lot status, meaning it hasn't been ruled out and could become an official set. The design recreates Apple's 1998 iMac G3 in Bondi Blue, featuring the all-in-one computer, "hockey puck" mouse, keyboard, cables, and interior details like a cathode ray tube and circuit board using translucent blue pieces.

The project reached 10,000 supporters, qualifying for LEGO Review Board consideration. Parking Lot status indicates LEGO needs more review time, possibly to secure permission from Apple. This is promising since many proposals face early rejection; sets like Downton Abbey and The Old Man and the Sea advanced from the Parking Lot to production.

In the third 2025 review round with 75 qualifying ideas, three were chosen as sets, four (including the iMac G3) received Parking Lot status, and the rest were rejected. Projects can remain in the Parking Lot for up to three review periods before a final decision. A previous LEGO Apple Store proposal was rejected outright.
