The flight tracking app Flighty has launched a new feature called Connection Assistant, designed to simplify the process of making connecting flights. This tool provides users with a step-by-step guide for each connection, detailing requirements like passport control, baggage recheck, security screening, and terminal changes, along with estimated completion times.

Connection Assistant leverages flight tracking data, airport-specific procedures, and statistical analysis of millions of past flights to generate personalized walkthroughs. By adding passport information, users can also determine eligibility for e-gates or if passport control can be bypassed. The app will also indicate how tight a connection is and the typical transit time between flights.

Additionally, Flighty can now predict arrival and departure gates, gate ranges, or concourses when a flight is initially added, based on historical gate data. These predictions become more precise closer to the flight date, narrowing down to the exact gate. Flighty is available for free on the App Store, with optional Pro features accessible through various subscription tiers.
