Apple is planning a comprehensive refresh of its entire Mac lineup over the next two years, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. This overhaul comes as Mac sales are projected to increase for a third consecutive year, partly driven by demand for demanding AI workloads.

The refresh begins this fall with an updated entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro and the first new iMacs in two years. Future updates include new Mac mini and Mac Studio models, with timing dependent on memory supply. Notably, high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks are expected by late 2026 or early 2027, featuring an all-new design with an OLED touch screen and M5 Pro/Max chips.

Further into 2027, refreshed MacBook Air models and a new entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M7 chip are anticipated. A budget MacBook Neo will also receive periodic updates. By 2028, Apple may introduce OLED MacBook Air and iMac models. The Mac mini and Mac Studio, popular for AI tasks, face supply constraints, making their successor timing uncertain, as noted by CEO Tim Cook.
