Apple pushed out the second beta of watchOS 27 to developers on Monday, arriving exactly two weeks after the initial beta release. Developers can install the update through the Watch app on their iPhone, provided they maintain a free developer account. The Apple Watch requires a charger connection, Wi-Fi access, and at least 50 percent battery before installation begins.

The most significant addition in this beta is Siri AI, which enables conversational interactions and taps into both general knowledge and personal data to answer queries. However, this feature demands compatible hardware: an iPhone 15 Pro or newer running Apple Intelligence. Apple also introduced a Dynamic app grid that surfaces Siri-suggested applications, plus refined Smart Stack Suggestions for quicker access to relevant tools.

Several practical enhancements arrive with this beta. Users can locate parked vehicles, view pinned conversations, receive noise alerts, and access identity or transit cards directly from their watch face. Liquid Glass received visual tweaks to boost readability, while Workout Buddy now functions independently of iPhone connectivity. The fitness feature also tracks progressive improvements in distance, pace, and duration during workouts.

Apple bundled a unified Find My application with Precision Finding support, alongside under-the-hood performance optimizations that should extend battery life. The update excludes the Apple Watch Ultra 3, suggesting Apple may stagger feature rollouts across its smartwatch lineup.
