Apple today seeded the fifth Beta 5 of watchOS 27 to developers, two weeks after the fourth beta launch. The update can be downloaded through the Watch app on the iPhone with a free developer account. To install, the Apple Watch must be on the charger, connected to Wi‑Fi, and have a battery level of 50 % or above.

The beta is available for all Apple Watch models compatible with watchOS 27, except for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. The new release introduces Siri AI, a smarter version that can hold back‑and‑forth conversations and tap into general world knowledge and personal data. Siri AI on Apple Watch requires an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, such as the iPhone 15 Pro and later. A dynamic app grid highlights Siri‑suggested apps, and smarter Smart Stack suggestions help you find parked cars, pinned messages, noise alerts, and identity or transit cards.

Liquid Glass is updated for better legibility, while Workout Buddy works even when an iPhone isn’t nearby, adding new metrics for distance, pace, or duration. Apple also added an all‑in‑one Find My app with Precision Finding support and performance tweaks that boost battery life.
