The iOS 27 update showcases significant AI advancements, starting with Siri AI—a conversational assistant designed to feel like ChatGPT by leveraging world knowledge and accessing personal data from apps such as Messages and Mail. Additional Apple Intelligence capabilities are integrated into core tools including Photos, Safari, Shortcuts, Wallet, and Passwords. A dedicated standalone Siri app was also launched, enabling system-wide conversation generation and writing feedback. Notably, Visual Intelligence has migrated to the Camera app with a new Siri mode.

Beyond intelligence features, Apple refined the Liquid Glass display with adjustable transparency sliders. Performance enhancements accelerate overall responsiveness, making apps launch faster, AirDrop transfers quicker, and keyboard activation more immediate. Additionally, devices now handle Wi-Fi and cellular handoffs more smoothly, ensuring continuous connectivity during transitions.
