Proofreading receives a substantial upgrade, powered by Apple Intelligence. Beyond basic spellcheck, iOS 27 now includes automatic grammar checking. Misspellings are still underlined in red, but grammar suggestions and incorrect word usage appear in blue, offering a less intrusive experience. These features can be disabled in Settings.

The Spotlight search system has been overhauled, integrating Siri and utilizing a more comprehensive, continuously updated content index for improved relevance and accuracy. This enhanced search foundation is also applied to the Photos and Mail apps, promising a more effective search experience across key iPhone applications.
