Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class action lawsuit over delayed Siri features, with eligible iPhone owners potentially receiving up to $95 per device. The case centered on Apple's June 2024 preview of personalized Siri capabilities powered by Apple Intelligence—including contextual awareness and deeper app integration—which the company heavily promoted through presentations, its website, and a TV commercial featuring Bella Ramsey. When Apple delayed the personalized Siri launch in March 2025, users filed suit alleging false advertising.

To qualify, U.S. residents must have purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, or iPhone 16 Pro Max between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025. Claimants will receive a base payment of $25 per device, scaling up to $95 if participation stays low. A settlement website launches in the coming months, with class members notified by email within 45 days.

CEO Tim Cook has confirmed personalized Siri will arrive this year as part of iOS 27, alongside a dedicated Siri app. Apple stated it settled "to stay focused on delivering the most innovative products and services to our users."
