vivo officially launched the S60 and S60 Vitality Edition in China, both sporting 6.59‑inch AMOLED panels with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Vivo claims peak HDR brightness can reach 5,000 nits, while a 50 MP front sensor and ultrasonic fingerprint reader sit behind the display. The trio arrives in Starry Sea, Early Summer Green and Midsummer Night hues, hitting stores on June 3.

The standard S60 packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD, plus a 50 MP telephoto lens offering 3× optical zoom. The Vitality Edition swaps the chipset for MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7500, pairs it with 12 GB RAM and the same storage options, but omits the telephoto unit.

Both phones share a massive 7,200 mAh cell capable of 90 W wired charging and carry IP68/IP69 protection, positioning them as flagship endurance devices. Pricing starts at CNY 3,599 for the base S60 (12 GB/256 GB) and CNY 2,899 for the entry Vitality model, translating to roughly $530 and $428 respectively. With OriginOS 6 on Android 16, vivo aims to challenge other Chinese flagships on performance and battery life.

The dual launch underscores vivo’s strategy to diversify its high‑end lineup, offering a premium Snapdragon variant alongside a cost‑focused MediaTek model for price‑sensitive buyers.
