At CES, Samsung showcased a foldable display with no visible crease, teasing the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. A leaked video from the production chain now confirms the invisible crease; despite low quality, the reflection from overhead lighting shows a perfectly flat display. It took several generations, but Samsung Display finally solved the crease issue.

The question remains whether this beats the Oppo Find N6's "Zero-Feel Crease," pending review units. Notably, Apple's first foldable will also rely on Samsung Display to address crease concerns. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra succeeds the Z Fold7, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 (wide-format) and Galaxy Z Flip8 (possibly the last flip-style) complete the lineup, alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

Price hikes are expected across the board. Samsung confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, though the Z Flip8 may use the Exynos 2600 in some regions. The new foldables and watches will debut on July 22, with pre-reservations open now offering a $30 voucher.
