Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 later this year, and a new rumor suggests the device will finally add 5G connectivity. The next-generation smartwatch is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8 and Galaxy Z Fold8, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor's 4G limitations. This follows earlier reports that the device will feature the Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC.

The addition of 5G would align Samsung with Apple, which introduced the feature to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 last September. For Samsung, this upgrade addresses a key limitation of the current Galaxy Watch Ultra, which maxed out at 4G connectivity. The move also supports the Ultra branding's premium positioning and associated price point.
