Samsung Czechia has officially listed the Galaxy A27 on its website, ending weeks of speculation about the mid-range device. The phone represents a notable shift in Samsung's strategy, moving from Exynos processors to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset for this model line.

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display features FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, while the front gets a modern punch-hole cutout housing a 12MP selfie camera. Samsung pairs the Snapdragon chip with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB.

Camera specs reveal some puzzling decisions though. The 50MP main shooter includes OIS, but the ultrawide camera drops to 5MP from the 8MP unit on the A26. Samsung also downgraded water resistance from IP67 to IP64, and reduced the front camera from 13MP to 12MP.

The A27 maintains the 5,000mAh battery and 25W charging of its predecessor while launching with OneUI 8.5 on Android 16. Samsung promises six years of software support including six major Android updates. Rumored European pricing starts at €349 for the base model.

Samsung's decision to downgrade certain features while upgrading the processor suggests cost optimization rather than pure advancement.
