Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 17 series in China, featuring two models with massive batteries. The vanilla Redmi Note 17 sports a 7-inch 120Hz OLED display and an 8,000mAh battery rated for 1,600 cycles with 45W charging.

The smaller Redmi Note 17 Pro packs a 6.83-inch higher-resolution OLED with 3,500 nits peak brightness and a larger 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 67W charging. It also boasts IP68/IP69K water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Performance differs: the Note 17 uses a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 with 6/8GB RAM, while the Pro gets a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with 8/12GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Both have basic 50MP/8MP cameras limited to 1080p30 video.

Pricing starts at CNY 1,300 ($190) for the Note 17 6/128GB and CNY 1,600 ($240) for the Pro 8/128GB. Global launch details remain unannounced, and hardware may differ from Chinese variants.
