A Geekbench listing for model 2607 DRA18C suggests the Redmi Note 17 is arriving soon. This prototype identifies as a Chinese variant, while a separate 2607 DRA18I model was recently certified for the Indian market.

Technical specs show the phone uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and 12GB of RAM. Performance benchmarks recorded a single-core score of 1,027 and a multi-core score of 3,002. The device will ship with Android 16 and Xiaomi's Hyper OS.

Xiaomi plans the official launch for the Chinese series on July 14. The identical model numbers across regions suggest Xiaomi is standardizing hardware for global and domestic markets to reduce production costs.

Shipping with Android 16 puts this device ahead of most current mid-range competitors. This move forces other budget brands to accelerate their OS update cycles to stay competitive in the value segment.
