Redmi officially unveiled the K90 Ultra in China today, bringing months of speculation to an end. The device pairs the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with an unusual built-in active cooling fan that promises up to 10°C temperature reduction during extended gaming sessions, eliminating performance throttling concerns that plague other flagship devices.

On the display front, the K90 Ultra sports a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1280x2772 resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. The screen reaches 3,500-nit peak brightness and supports full array DC dimming. Camera duties fall to a 50MP main shooter with OIS and a 1/1.55-inch sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide and 20MP front-facing camera.

Power comes from an 8,550mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wireless capability. The phone includes a 100W GaN charger in the box. Additional features include Bose-tuned dual stereo speakers and comprehensive IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.

Pricing starts at CNY 2,999 ($441) with a promotional offer that upgrades the base model from 12GB to 16GB RAM at no extra cost. Higher-tier variants reach CNY 3,699 ($544) for the 16GB/512GB configuration. The K90 Ultra likely remains China-exclusive, though a Poco-branded variant could emerge later this year.
