Motorola Razr Fold Review: A Premium Book-Style Shift

Motorola is pivoting away from its clamshell roots with the new Razr Fold, a book-style foldable that emphasizes professional aesthetics over flashy trends. This device moves the brand into a more mature segment, featuring a premium build with a stainless-steel hinge and an aluminum frame. It targets users who want large-format productivity without the typical foldable fragility.

Under the hood, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and includes 16GB of RAM. The hardware centerpiece is an 8.1-inch LTPO OLED main display paired with a high-refresh 6.6-inch cover screen. For photography, Motorola included a triple 50MP rear camera array, providing a significant-looking upgrade for a device that previously focused on compact designs.

Battery life remains a priority with a massive 6,000 mAh cell that supports fast 80W wired charging. While the IP48/IP49 rating protects against water, the device lacks full dust sealing. Motorola also promises long-term software support with seven major updates, making this a serious contender in the high-end foldable market.
