Motorola Edge 70 Max Specs Leak: 7,100mAh Battery, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

Motorola will unveil the Edge 70 Max on July 15, and Flipkart has now spilled the full spec sheet. The headline feature is a massive 7,100 mAh battery paired with 90W wired charging and 25W magnetic wireless charging — the latter a category first. That capacity should deliver multi-day endurance for most users, while the wireless speed rivals many wired solutions from just a few years ago.

Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, backed by up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and an Arctic Mesh cooling system built around a 5,500 mm² vapor chamber. The display is a Quad HD+ LTPO panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 7,000 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i, and 10-bit color depth. Motorola also confirms a glass back, aluminum frame, and IP68-rated sealing.

Gaming gets specific attention: the phone advertises 120 FPS support in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), a title that dominates the Indian market. That frame rate target, combined with the cooling hardware and LTPO panel, signals Motorola is chasing the performance-per-rupee crown in the premium mid-range segment.

If pricing lands near the Edge 50 Pro's ₹35,000 launch point, this spec sheet — especially the battery and wireless charging — could force Samsung and Xiaomi to reconsider their own mid-tier roadmaps. The July 15 launch will confirm whether the execution matches the paper.
