SpaceXAI released a free Grok add-on for Google Workspace in July 2026, integrating Musk's chatbot directly into Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Users can install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace and access Grok via the Extensions menu in any supported app. Once installed, Grok appears in a side panel alongside Google's Gemini panel, offering functionality across all three Workspace editors without requiring separate installations.
The integration allows users to leverage Grok's capabilities for writing, data analysis, and presentation creation within their existing workflow. Before adopting the tool, users should consider the permission requirements and potential privacy implications of granting Grok access to Google files and external services.
