Honor has launched the X80i in China, its latest budget-friendly smartphone featuring MediaTek's Dimensity 6500 chipset. The device sports a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. This marks the first commercial launch of the Dimensity 6500, though MediaTek hasn't officially announced the chip yet.

The Dimensity 6500 features an eight-core CPU configuration with 2x Cortex-A76 cores at 2.6GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The X80i comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, protected by IP66 ingress rating. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and an unspecified secondary sensor.

Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 ($290) for the 8GB/128GB variant and goes up to CNY 2,799 ($407) for the 12GB/512GB model. The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 with Honor's AI suite. Available in black, green, pink, and white colors, the X80i will begin shipping in China on April 10, positioning itself as a compelling option in the mid-range segment.
