Honor quietly rolled out the X70 Pro Max in China ahead of the X80 Pro Max debut next week. The device sports a 6.79‑inch AMOLED panel with 2640×1200 resolution, 120 Hz refresh, and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness behind a 1.3 mm bezel. It runs Android 16‑based MagicOS 10.0 on Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced.

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced chipset and an Adreno 810 GPU, the X70 Pro Max ships with 8 GB RAM and up to 512 GB UFS storage. A massive 8,560 mAh cell fuels the phone, supporting 90 W wired fast charging. An IP69K rating, dual speakers, infrared blaster, and in‑display fingerprint sensor round out the hardware.

The handset carries a 50 MP primary sensor housed in a circular module and an 8 MP front camera for selfies. It arrives in Bamboo Green, Phantom Purple, Phantom Night Black and Sunburst Gold. Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 (≈$295) for the 8 GB/256 GB model and CNY 2,399 (≈$355) for 8 GB/512 GB, underscoring Honor’s aggressive value proposition.

While the X70 Pro Max’s 8,560 mAh pack already eclipses most competitors, Honor signals an even larger leap with the forthcoming X80 Pro Max, which will house an 11,000 mAh battery. The move reinforces the brand’s focus on endurance as a differentiator in the crowded Chinese flagship segment, giving budget‑conscious buyers a compelling alternative.
