Honor unveiled the Magic8 Pro Air, a slim 6.3-inch phone targeting Apple's iPhone Air and other thin Android competitors. It packs pro-level hardware into a 6.1mm-thick body, featuring a triple camera setup with a periscope telephoto and a large 5,500mAh battery.

Unlike typical thin phones, the Magic8 Pro Air avoids major compromises. Its 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display offers 6,000 nits peak brightness, while the camera system includes a 50MP main sensor and a 64MP periscope lens. The Dimensity 9500 chip and 80W charging support its high-end positioning.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 4,999 ($717) for the 12/256GB model, with sales beginning January 23. A global release remains unconfirmed. This launch pressures rivals to balance slim designs with full-featured specs, a trend accelerating in 2026 as manufacturers chase both form factor and performance.
