Amazon is expanding its Kindle Scribe lineup with the rollout of Send to Alexa+, a feature that connects the writing tablets to the company's AI assistant. The functionality, initially announced alongside the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft last fall, is now available on current-generation Scribe and Scribe Colorsoft devices. This integration allows users to share notebooks and documents directly with Alexa+.

Once connected, Prime members and Alexa+ subscribers can access their Kindle content across Amazon's ecosystem, including Echo devices, Fire TV, Alexa.com, and the Alexa app. The AI assistant can perform tasks like summarizing notes, creating to-do lists, and adding calendar items or reminders. This marks a significant step in Amazon's strategy to embed AI capabilities across its hardware portfolio.

The feature represents Amazon's push to make its writing tablets more than just e-readers, positioning them as productivity tools enhanced by artificial intelligence. By linking Kindle Scribe to Alexa+, Amazon creates a more interconnected experience for users who rely on multiple Amazon devices and services. This move could help differentiate the Scribe lineup in the competitive tablet market.
