Amazon is expanding its AI capabilities on Kindle Scribe with a new 'Send to Alexa' feature that lets users share handwritten notes with the AI assistant. Announced March 10, this feature allows Scribe and Scribe Colorsoft owners to submit notebooks and documents to Alexa for brainstorming, project guidance, and converting notes into actionable items like to-do lists and calendar events.

Users can access their processed notes across multiple devices including Alexa.com, the Alexa app, Echo devices, and Fire TV. The AI can summarize content, transform ideas into reminders, and even refine handwriting by converting it to script font for better readability. Amazon is rolling out this feature to the new Kindle Scribe and Scribe Colorsoft over the next few days.

The update arrives alongside other AI enhancements for Alexa Plus subscribers, including AI-powered notebook search and built-in summarization capabilities. These tools aim to make handwritten notes more useful by extracting key information and creating condensed bullet points. For users who frequently jot down ideas, this integration could significantly streamline how they organize and act on their thoughts.
