Galaxy S27 Pro Rumored with 5,000mAh Battery in Compact Ultra Design

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy S27 Pro alongside the standard S27 lineup in January, positioning it as a smaller variant of the Ultra model. Unlike the Ultra, this version won't include an S Pen and features a 6.47-inch display. The phone will reportedly share the same main camera and ultrawide sensors as its larger sibling, though the telephoto system differs.

What makes this rumor particularly interesting is the claimed battery capacity. Despite being smaller than the Ultra model, the Galaxy S27 Pro allegedly packs a 5,000 mAh battery. Most would expect a reduced capacity given the size difference, but removing the S Pen appears to free up internal space for larger cells.

For Samsung's standards, 5,000 mAh represents strong endurance. The current Galaxy S26 Ultra uses the same capacity, suggesting Samsung is maintaining parity across its premium tier. While this figure seems modest compared to many Chinese smartphones pushing 5,500-6,000 mAh, it reflects Samsung's conservative approach to battery sizing.

The Pro model could appeal to users wanting Ultra-level performance without the bulk. Samsung's strategy of offering multiple sizes with consistent battery life shows they're prioritizing user experience over raw specifications. This approach may resonate with consumers who found previous Ultra models unwieldy.
