iOS 27.2 launched last week with a new Messages feature called 'Suggested Actions.' The feature surfaces actionable information from messages, allowing users to add events to calendars, set reminders, or view locations instantly. By default, all five suggestion types are enabled. Users can customize these suggestions via Settings -> Apps -> Messages -> Suggested Actions.
The five categories include Add to Calendar, Add to Reminders, Add to Notes, Show in Maps, and Flights and Packages. The feature is powered by Apple Intelligence, requiring an AI-compatible iPhone. Users can enable or disable individual suggestion types based on personal preference.
The interface remains unobtrusive, keeping the Messages app clean. Apple offers granular control over the feature right from the start. The update also highlights various iPhone accessories currently on sale, including AirPods Pro 3 discounted to $199.
