New rumors suggest significant battery upgrades for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. The S27 Ultra is reportedly set to receive a 5,700mAh or 5,800mAh battery, a notable increase from the current 5,000mAh capacity found in the S25 and S26 Ultra models.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Pro, which may debut next year, is rumored to feature a 5,200mAh battery. These specifications contradict earlier reports suggesting that Samsung's potential silicon-carbon battery technology might not lead to increased capacities.

The Dutch publication Galaxy Club, citing Sam Mobile, alleges that these battery enhancements are likely due to Samsung's adoption of silicon-carbon battery technology, a feature already present in its latest foldable devices. This rumored upgrade has been a long-desired improvement for Samsung's flagship phones, especially for the Ultra model, which has seen stagnant battery capacity for several generations.
