OPPO's upcoming Find X10 Ultra is reportedly being tested with MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro, a move that could shift the Ultra series away from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips. According to Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu, OPPO is evaluating the Dimensity 9600 Pro alongside custom imaging algorithms integrated with its Lumo True Image Engine. However, a separate configuration using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is also in development and may still be the final choice.

The Dimensity 9600 Pro, built on TSMC’s 2nm process, features two C2-Ultra cores at up to 4.55GHz and six performance cores. OPPO has already confirmed the chip for the Find X10 Pro Max, making it a logical fit for the Ultra. Leaks suggest the phone will boast a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.12-inch sensor and LOFIC technology, plus a second 200MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP periscope offering 10x optical zoom.

A 100MP front camera is also expected. If MediaTek wins, the Ultra and Pro Max may share the same SoC, forcing OPPO to differentiate through camera hardware and imaging. The Find X10 Ultra is anticipated for release in China in the first half of 2027, though OPPO has not confirmed final specs.
