Ultrahuman launches cheaper CGM with Lingo sensor

Ultrahuman unveiled M2 Live, its second‑generation continuous glucose monitor for the U.S., built around Abbott’s over‑the‑counter Lingo sensor. By swapping the prescription‑only Freestyle Libre used in the M1 version for the cheaper Lingo, the company cuts both cost and acquisition friction, aiming to reach non‑diabetic users who now track glucose as a wellness metric.

Each Lingo sensor lasts 14 days and retails for $129, while Ultrahuman bundles it with a $99 monthly subscription that powers its Jade AI engine. Jade stitches glucose readings together with sleep, stress and activity data collected from the company’s ring, then generates a metabolic score and actionable suggestions for diet or training adjustments.

The shift to an OTC sensor lowers the barrier for mainstream adoption, positioning Ultrahuman as a direct competitor to other wellness CGM platforms that rely on prescription devices. By integrating metabolic data into a single app, the firm promises a more holistic view of health, and consumers can now start monitoring glucose without a doctor’s order.

Early adopters will test whether the combined score delivers meaningful insights, but the price cut could drive broader consumer interest in metabolic tracking beyond diabetic care.
