Sony unveiled the Sony RX10 V on a $2,300 price tag, offering a fresh design and a host of performance upgrades that target serious shooters.

The camera features a 24‑600mm optical zoom lens, f/2.4‑4.0, paired with a 20.1‑megapixel 1‑inch stacked sensor. The sensor and lens remain unchanged from the RX10 IV, but the body loses the built‑in flash and adopts a sleeker, squared‑off silhouette.

Autofocus received a major overhaul: 575 points, AI৮‑driven subject detection that covers humans, birds, animals, vehicles and insects, and a 60‑fps tracking rate. Burst performance climbs to 30 fps with no blackout, thanks to a new processor. Video jumps to 4K 60 fps 10‑bit, with a 4K 120 fps option that crops slightly, 1080p 240 fps, S‑Log3, and 16‑LUT preview.

The new body adds a larger grip, a full set of manual dials, a joystick, and a dual top dial. The EVF rises to 3.69 million dots and the rear display to 1.62 million dots, though it only tilts, limiting vlog‑style use. Live‑streaming at 4K 30 fps is now available. The high price reflects the camera’s premium zoom reach, speed, and video capabilities, positioning it for professionals and serious enthusiasts rather than casual consumers.
