Rivian has unveiled pricing and trim levels for its upcoming R2 electric SUV ahead of its spring launch. The mid-size, two-row vehicle represents Rivian's first mass-market offering, starting with premium models hitting roads this spring and more affordable configurations arriving through 2027. The R2 Performance with Launch Package will debut at $57,990, featuring dual-motor AWD, 656 horsepower, and 330 miles of EPA-estimated range.

Every R2 will include a native NACS charging port and Autonomy+ hardware, though the hands-free driving tech requires a subscription after a 60-day trial. The rollout strategy mirrors Rivian's previous vehicles, with the $45,000 base model not arriving until late 2027. This staggered approach allows Rivian to build production capacity while maintaining profit margins on higher-end models.

The R2 lineup includes four configurations ranging from the performance-focused Launch Package to the standard base model. Key features across trims include Matrix LED headlights, heated front seats, and 12-way adjustable seating. Rivian positions the R2 as bringing R1T and R1S technology to a more accessible price point, potentially expanding its customer base beyond early adopters.
