Apple has released the first beta of iOS 27.3, introducing several new features for testing. The update brings vertical tabs to Safari, an AI-powered Adaptive Dark Mode, and enhanced Siri AI capabilities. A redesigned Apple Health app also returns after a brief absence in the 27.2 cycle.
Apple faced criticism for overpromising at WWDC 2024 regarding Apple Intelligence, but this beta showcases new additions. Staff across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch are testing the updates to evaluate what is new. Safari gains vertical tabs, allowing for cleaner layouts and support for Tab Groups.
Adaptive Dark Mode uses Apple Intelligence to adjust backgrounds and text contrast for night browsing. Siri AI can now understand entire webpages, search open tabs, and perform actions. Localization has expanded to include Norwegian, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
The redesigned Health app brings a fresh interface back to the testing pool.
